The Ship's Log - June 1998

Hola! Greetings from the Tropics. The temps have been a steady mid 90's and the air conditioner is running 24 hours a day. The weather in Havana, however, was great. The trade winds kept things cool and the wonderful people of Cuba made the whole experience fantastic.

Of all the places that I've travelled to, the people of Cuba have been the friendliest. Everyone has a smile and a greeting for you. The poverty is unbelievable but they are very wealthy in terms of spirit and warmth.
